Financial Planning and Analysis

• Oversee the quarterly MEP cash disbursement process including preparation and coordination of board materials, bank disbursements and legal entity accounting for capital transactions
• Lead the Equity Pick Up accounting process including review of journal entries in SAP, ensuring balances are accurate and aligned with reporting and accounting requirements
• Build and manage an intercompany reconciliation and settlement process
• Support operationalization of accounting models and ledger set-up
• Ensure that an adequate control environment is maintained for SLC and coordinate with SLC’s subsidiaries to support a stable control environment, including quarterly ICFR processes for the accounting close
• Support reporting and analytics for SLC’s financial results, includes trending of financial information to gain insights into management reporting
• Collaborate with various SLC teams, learn new accounting requirements, provide accounting insights, and assist with issue resolutions
• Drive automation initiatives, identifying opportunities to eliminate manual processes and implement digital solutions
• Support and lead various strategic SLC initiatives, such as SLC Legal Restructuring Project, SAP GL updates and enhancements, etc.

Director, Finance

• Support the financial management, reporting, and compliance of SLC’s Management Equity Plan (MEP)
• Collaborate with HR business partners and external vendors to design, develop, implement an integrated MEP administration tool
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to assess and manage accounting implications of MEP
• Collaborate with Finance and technology teams to design and deliver optimized processes for quarterly MEP reporting and participant wire execution
• Establish and maintain robust governance and financial controls
• Manage the financial aspects of MEP, including fair value and distribution calculations
• Design executive-ready presentations clearly articulating findings and strategic recommendations

Senior Associate, Management Equity Finance

Director

• Monitor surplus portfolios globally
• Support the development of surplus investment strategies
• Assist in monitoring FVOCI, liquidity positions, and tactical surplus trading initiatives
• Support investment strategy and optimization reviews across Sun Life’s business groups
• Contribute analysis for portfolio construction trade-offs
• Partner with the bond desk to develop TAA views
• Prepare high-quality analytics and reporting for senior management
• Support annual business planning and forecasting processes
• Partner with internal teams to deliver cross-enterprise projects

Associate Director, Portfolio Strategy & Analytics

• Responsible for the end-to-end design, governance, administration, and analytics of the firm’s annual incentive plans, equity-based compensation, and carried interest arrangements
• Lead the design and evolution of annual incentive plans, equity programs, and carried interest structures
• Develop and assess incentive frameworks, performance metrics, payout mechanics, vesting structures, and deferral features consistent with market practice and regulatory requirements
• Oversee the full lifecycle delivery of incentive, equity, deferral, and carried interest plans
• Ensure strong governance, documentation, and controls across all phases of plan execution
• Lead compensation planning, forecasting, modeling, and reporting across incentive and long-term programs
• Develop high-impact analytics, modeling, and scenario analysis to support senior management, compensation committees, and Board-level discussions
• Act as a key partner to Finance, Legal, Tax, HR, and senior business leaders, aligning incentive strategy with financial, regulatory, and talent objectives
