Develop and manage the team that creates vehicle level system models and CAE models for all attributes
Ensure feasibility and execute model correlation on all virtual models
Responsible for total vehicle integration of all virtual tool models for body, chassis, interior, and exterior attribute requirements
Lead the team to identify and resolve design related solutions identified in the virtual tool models
Lead cross-functional CAE team meetings, working with all product development teams including systems and components, packaging, manufacturing, and service to ensure technical targets are set and solutions are optimized
Utilize LS-DYNA, Abaqus, Nastran, ANSA, META Post, Altair HyperWorks, GNS Animator, Oasys Primer, CATIA, and NHTSA/FMVSS, NCAP, and IIHS crash requirements to perform duties
Set and manage the Virtual Tools Delivery Matrix matching functional vehicle targets
Manage evaluation of model requirements against vehicle features at each required gate and integrate results from physical testing and validation for crashworthiness, structural durability, NVH, aerodynamics, and other analyses
Responsible for structural CAE crash, durability, NVH, and CFD modeling
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
Five (5) years in the position above, as a CAE Engineer, as a Crash Engineer, as a Crash Structures Engineer, as a Crashworthiness Structures Engineer, as a Project Engineer, as a Vehicle Safety Integration Engineer, as a Vehicle Safety Integration Manager, or in a related occupation
Experience must include one (1) year’s use of all the following: LS-DYNA, Abaqus, Nastran, ANSA, META Post, Altair HyperWorks, GNS Animator, Oasys Primer, CATIA, and NHTSA/FMVSS, NCAP, and IIHS crash requirements
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience
