About the role
- Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve products and services in ISR, aviation, and security domains
- Conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems
- Design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Support SAOC aircraft modernization and airborne command post systems
- Work in rapid and agile production environment to deliver technological solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- Typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Practical Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain United States Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment
- Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (preferred)
- Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis (preferred)
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes (preferred)
