About the role
- Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services
- Conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems for advanced mission payloads, electronic systems, integrated aircraft, and space systems
- Design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle
- Deliver technological solutions in a rapid and agile production environment
- Collaborate in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Support SAOC and ISR/aviation/security programs and associated certification and logistics activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Understanding of applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (preferred)
- Experience in Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis (preferred)
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes (preferred)
