💰 $90,000 - $110,000 per year
About the role
- Manage and oversee the Shermco billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for completed projects and service calls
- Coordinate with Regional Billing Leads, Branch Billing Administrators, Project Managers and Field Technicians to verify work completion and ensure proper documentation before invoicing
- Ensure compliance with customer contract terms, service level agreements (SLAs), purchase and change orders
- Act as the subject matter expert and escalation point for complex billing scenarios for the 6 Regional Billing Leads
- Develop, track, and present key Billing Services KPIs to Senior Director highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement for Shermco Billing
- Lead the effort to resolve client billing inquiries and disputes in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate with the accounting department to support month-end closing
- Implement process improvements to increase billing frequency, efficiency and accuracy
- Train and supervise billing staff as needed
- Manage demanding stakeholders with professionalism and authority
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, Business or related field preferred
- 3+ years of progressive billing experience with hands-on experience billing complex Customer projects
- Knowledge of billing/accounting principles and procedures
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office to include use of VLook ups, IF Statements and pivot tables
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
