About the role

  • Provide Chief of Staff Integrator direct support to the Chief of Staff, Directorate of Acquisition and Affordability (DA&A) within the F-35 Joint Program Office.
  • Review and evaluate business systems and user needs; formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Attend Program level briefings and meetings internally and externally as directed by the Director, Deputy Director, and Chief of Staff of DA&A as their designated representative.
  • Ensure detailed feedback is provided to leadership and pass along tasking given during briefings or meetings.
  • Develop and recommend courses of action to the Chief of Staff and other PMO leadership when unable to resolve issues.
  • Develop and prepare correspondence and documentation (formal letters, position papers, reports, staff studies, staff summary packages, briefings, charts, bullet background papers, etc.).
  • Ensure tasking, actions and direction flow from the DA&A workflow to appropriate individuals and organizations.
  • Provide Program Status Updates to DA&A Leadership Team, Services, Partners, and F-35 Governance Forums.
  • Understand, report, and mitigate weapon’s program risks.
  • Promulgate, assign or arrange for management control techniques and procedures to provide accurate and comprehensive information concerning the status and progress of assigned programs.
  • Synthesize critical management issues, documentation, and relevant information to support program reviews.
  • Formulate and develop innovative support concepts to minimize cost while maintaining aircraft availability.
  • Communicate and represent DA&A both internally and externally; assist in coordination and delivery of briefings for program reviews and presentations.
  • Develop presentations on program status, accomplishments, and progress to all levels of DoD, JPO Governance Forums, and industry.
  • Interface with DA&A leads and senior staff internally and with industry to coordinate and integrate operations and enhance DA&A decision-making.
  • Represent the Program at meetings, conferences and workshops; monitor and track status on PMO and JPO Governance Action Items.
  • Assure that all planning is fully integrated with the overall program Team effort and participating services, agencies, and countries when involved.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Management or related discipline. Or a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of program analysis and planning experience (14 years total).
  • Experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline, in weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management.
  • A minimum of six (6) years out of ten (10) recent work experience related to analysis and planning.
  • At least three (3) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP).
  • Knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of system acquisition to plan, organize, and coordinate critical aspects of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of the FAR for the development of contracts and contract modifications required for the acquisition of logistics supportability products.
  • Demonstrated experience in the program/project status, schedules, and DoD reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Service and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBE, life- cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series), to include DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5000.2, DoD Directive (DODD) 5530.03, and the International Cooperation in Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (IC in AT&L) Handbook.
  • Up to 10% Travel.
  • Microsoft Offices to include: Outlook,Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Adept at organizing work efficiently, adapt quickly to new tasks, and keeping projects on track in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, managing shifting deadlines, and maintaining productivity under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain/transfer your DoD Secret clearance.
