Accountant

• Independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (HGB) for our German entity (GmbH)
• Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers
• Establish and book provisions and accruals (e.g., personnel provisions, prepaid expenses)
• Fixed asset accounting including valuation, additions/disposals, depreciation, and fixed asset schedule
• Prepare tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, trade tax) and reconciliation schedules
• Calculate deferred taxes and resolve tax-related matters
• Plan and conduct fixed asset inventory including CAPEX controlling
• Serve as the contact person for auditors and tax auditors
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting (invoice processing, dunning, maintenance of open items)
• Coordinate payroll with an external payroll provider
• Support payment transactions and treasury (bookings, balance reconciliations, payment runs)
• Regulatory reporting (e.g., VAT listing to Bundesbank, Z4 report)
• Prepare analyses and reports on balance sheet items and tax issues
• Coordinate accounting matters with the Portuguese tax advisor for our Portuguese subsidiary

• Support with payment transactions and treasury (postings, balance reconciliations, payment runs)
• Statutory reporting (e.g., ZM to the Bundesbank, Z4 report)
• Preparation of analyses and reports on balance sheet items and tax matters
• Coordination with the Portuguese tax advisor on accounting topics for our Portuguese subsidiary

AI Engineer

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of generative AI features, taking MVPs to reliable, secure, cost-aware production services on Azure.
• Implement features like document summarization and Q&A chat (RAG).
• Build MLOps on Azure, including deployment, monitoring, and observability.
• Establish best practices for evaluation, safeguards, and prompt/response logging with PII-safe redaction.
• Be the hands-on expert and first dedicated full-time AI Engineer, reporting to the IT Lead.

• Define entire user experience of the DCO platform
• Lead the "DCO 3.0" initiative with Product Manager and Frontend Developer
• establish design system and champion a user-centered culture
• autonomy to introduce AI-aided tools and processes you see fit to build a truly great product
• audit existing DCO, identify UX improvements, present vision and strategy for the DCO 3.0 redesign
• establish initial user flows and wireframes for critical journeys
• develop and implement V1 of our new Design System in Miro, Figma or your tool of choice
• ship the first redesigned components and features, and validate your design decisions with user analytics
• establish a mature, scalable design process for the entire product team
• the DCO 3.0 vision will be largely implemented, resulting in measurable improvements in user satisfaction and task completion rates
• be the go-to expert for all things design and user experience at SECJUR
