Provide technical support to customers and is a subject matter expert in their specific area of expertise to enhance their processes
Provide technical clarification of customer requests (URS, RFQs etc.) in cooperation with local sales management
Support technical and commercial customer meetings / contractual negotiations
Serve as point of contact for internal and external communication during project execution in their area of automation design and support
Take responsibility for marketing activities that are agreed for products and segments
Maintain current knowledge of Sartorius Stedim Biotech's products, process trends and accepted practices for biopharmaceutical systems and processes within industry
Attend pre-sales meetings with sales team to develop customer relationships and understand customer process requirements
Requirements
Academic degree in chemical, biochemical or computer science
Minimum 5 years of industry relevant work experience or suitable achievement of expert level education through 10+ years of relevant work experience and licenses / certifications
Understanding of regulatory requirements associated with Automation as it relates to cGMP manufacturing (CFRs etc.)
Working knowledge of pharmaceutical and engineering standards and guidelines, such as: GAMP, BPE, ISPE and ASME
Ability to interpret PFD's, P&ID's and detailed design documents
Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office
Fluent in English
Spanish/Portugues a plus
