About the role
- Provide development support, conceptual design, and owner’s engineer services to clients
- Perform technical evaluations of electric power generation projects and facilities
- Conduct engineering design reviews, project development support, and conceptual design work
- Apply mechanical design expertise for thermal power projects
- Communicate technical findings in writing and verbally to clients
- Travel within the United States and internationally as needed
Requirements
- BSME from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
- Strong academic background
- 7 or more years of experience in the electric power industry
- Experience in detailed design of the mechanical systems of thermal power projects
- Experience in development support, conceptual design, and owner’s engineering design reviews of thermal power projects
- Excellent technical communication and writing skills
- General understanding of power station operations and performance reviews (valued but not required)
- Familiarity with international design codes and standards (preferred)
- Ability to travel within the United States and internationally (opportunity)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; employer does not sponsor work authorization
