About the role
- Provide monthly reporting of income statements and balance sheets for corporate finance
- Support decision-making by interpreting and implementing operating budgets and financial policies
- Ensure standard cost systems, inventory control systems and fixed assets are maintained within corporate guidelines
- Analyze financial data to report on plant profitability and manufacturing spend variances to budget
- Report production cost analysis, GL account reconciliations and allocation of cost to other production units (with assistance from Staff Accountant)
- Review and approve capital appropriation requests
- Prepare annual budgets and perform annual PK update of standard cost (PK roll)
- Update production unit's quarterly forecast and report to Corporate Finance for consolidation
- Collaborate with plant leadership to assess and communicate financial performance
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years in manufacturing cost accounting
- Hands on experience in standard cost accounting and general accounting principles in a metal fabrication and manufacturing environment
- Holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting or bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minor in business, or equivalent experience
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SAP, PowerBI and OneStream
- Ability to collaborate effectively with plant leadership to assess and communicate financial performance
- Strong leadership, independent thinking, and exceptional organizational planning skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion
