About the role

  • Senior People Partner for R&D—design orgs across Product, Platform, and AI engineering teams to enable fast-moving, high-impact work.
  • Drive innovation through org design and foster an elite engineering culture while maintaining execution discipline.
  • Partner with leaders to design scalable orgs, identify bottlenecks, and ensure agile growth.
  • Remote position open to candidates residing in the US.
  • Act as strategic advisor and champion Samsara’s cultural principles across the org.
  • Org Design for Speed & Impact: architect small, high-performing teams; remove bottlenecks and silos.
  • Strategic Advisory at the Highest Level: anticipate talent needs and shape the talent strategy for next-gen AI and platform teams.
  • High-Performance Culture & Leadership Development: scalable leadership programs, continuous feedback, radical candor.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: use people analytics to inform org design and hiring decisions.
  • Data-driven decision making and continue to improve team speed and innovation cycles.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience Driving Fast-Paced Innovation: You’ve designed org structures that enable teams to ship quickly while maintaining execution discipline.
  • 8+ years of People Partner experience, with at least 5 years supporting R&D, product, AI, or engineering teams at a high-growth, fast paced tech company.
  • Influence & Communication: You are a trusted advisor to executives and know how to navigate complex org dynamics while driving decisive action.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: You can translate people metrics into strategic insights that directly impact speed, execution, and long-term team success.
  • Ownership Mentality: You operate with a founder mindset, embracing ambiguity and solving problems proactively.
