About the role
- Acquire new accounts and generate new business within Department of Defense, focused on U.S. Air Force
- Own opportunity management and execute solution selling to drive contracts
- Assess customer business problems and drive investments through successful contract execution
- Lead and empower matrixed sales support teams to execute sales strategies and tactics
- Manage sales territory concentrated on the U.S. Air Force
- Collaborate with system integrators and defense customers to establish connections and reduce total cost of ownership
Requirements
- Proven track record meeting sales targets
- Experience acquiring new accounts and generating new business
- Experience selling to the U.S. Air Force or other DoD agencies (preferred)
- Expert knowledge of the US Air Force acquisition community (advantage)
- Strong opportunity management and solution selling skills
- Ability to lead and empower a large matrix team of sales support roles
- Territory focus on U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense community
- Preferred geographic location: Washington, D.C. metro area (open to other markets)
