About the role
- Travel up to 60%, including to austere locations such as aboard Naval ships or overseas, to perform required job functions
- Provide hands-on technical support to customers, by phone and on-site, for multiple complex radar systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and debug complex radar systems, including electro-mechanical equipment, computer systems, and software
- Report design, reliability, and maintenance issues or bugs to design and software engineering teams
- Maintain direct and consistent communication with customers
- Support other company functions as needed, including qualification/acceptance testing and training
- Deliver training to customers on the operation and maintenance of Saab products
- Provide exceptional customer service and collaborate effectively with internal teams
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in an engineering discipline with 5+ years of related experience, OR MA/MS degree in an engineering discipline with 3+ years of related experience, OR 9+ years of military or aerospace experience
- Knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting, and repair of radar systems
- Ability to lift, remove, and replace components weighing 50 pounds or more
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Desired: Experience with Giraffe AMB (or similar) radar systems in design, operation, or maintenance
- Willingness to travel up to 60%, including to austere locations such as aboard Naval ships or overseas
