About the role
- Oversee the preparation of Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analysis for assigned projects.
- Ensure compliance to all Safety Policies and adopted Standards.
- Develop and implement long-term strategy and short-term plans for continuous improvement of the safety, health and environmental compliance program across all aspects of the Ameresco’s Regional business operation.
- Ensure personal protective equipment meets applicable OSHA requirements and employees are trained on proper use.
- Conduct Safety Audits of assigned project sites ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised.
- Ensure incidents are reported, investigated, under-go comprehensive root-cause analysis, and corrective actions implemented to minimize the likelihood of repeat occurrence.
- Review Subcontractor safety qualifications and attend Pre-Construction Meetings as required.
- Work with project supervision and management to create safety solutions to safety problems.
- Foster and maintains a positive safety culture for the project personnel.
- Maintain all safety certifications as required by contracts.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings for Project Staff.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or similar Field
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Construction Safety Management
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
- Ability to travel close to 70% of the time as necessary
- Prior history with BESS or PV Construction in a safety role
