About the role
- Develop and manage a portfolio of subcontracts and procurement activities
- Participate in gate reviews and capture/proposal efforts, as well as facilitate relationships across organizations and suppliers
- Ensure all subcontracts and purchase orders are fully compliant to policies/procedures and to the Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Perform procurement and supplier management functions in support of U.S. Government subcontracts
- Administer and care for low and high dollar POs and subcontracts, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and potentially other contract types such as cost type agreements or long term agreements
- Develop the overall sourcing and procurement activities from development through production and final contract close out
- Develop tactical and strategic aspects of supplier relationships
- Monitor and care for incoming supply of materials to fully support MRP and self-guided demand
- Develop supply chain strategies and alternatives
- Perform risk analysis including identifying supply chain risks, opportunities, potential impacts, and mitigation plans
- Lead the supplier management team and be the focal point for subcontractor performance
- Communicate clearly, be proactive in a very fast paced environment, flexible, innovative, work with speed and agility yet be thorough, and facilitate tasks to completion
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
- An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience in leading formal negotiations
- Experience with supplier management
- Experience with supporting procurement and subcontract management teams
- Experience working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
- Experience interfacing with internal customers and all levels of organization
- Experience developing and delivering presentations(verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
- Knowledge of import / export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
