Define radar system requirements and design architectures and algorithms
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation of requirements
Analyze radar system performance data with respect to requirements
Identify performance deficiencies and propose solutions
Define and prototype new algorithms to enhance system performance
Present plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers
Provide subject matter expertise to agile software development teams
Work in capability areas including Electronic Protection, signal processing, applied mathematics, hypersonic threat defense, tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces
Support radar calibration, diagnostics, deployed site support and modeling/simulation of tactical software
Requirements
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship is required
Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems (preferred)
Experience with Radar Systems or signal processing techniques (preferred)
Experience developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools (preferred)
Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java or DOORS (preferred)
Analytic, technical and problem-solving skills
Experience with MS Office Suite (preferred)
Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture (preferred)
Experience with radar system concepts: detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms (preferred)
Experience coding system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools (preferred)
Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements (preferred)
Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design (preferred)
Previous military service (preferred)
Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs
Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater (preferred)
