Define radar system requirements and design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements
Analyze radar system performance data with respect to requirements
Identify performance deficiencies and propose solutions
Define and prototype new algorithms to enhance system performance
Present plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers
Provide subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements
Work in capability areas including Electronic Protection, signal processing, applied mathematics, hypersonic threat defense, tracking/discrimination/search, battle manager interfaces, radar calibration/diagnostics/deployed site support, and modeling and simulation of tactical software
Support concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation for Missile Defense & Sensor Systems
Requirements
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
Minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship is required
Security Clearance: DoD Clearance: Secret (ability to obtain/maintain)
Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems or signal processing techniques
Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools
Ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java or DOORS
Analytic, technical and problem-solving skills
Experience with MS Office Suite
Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture
Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools
Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development and implementation
Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement
Previous military service (preferred)
Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs
Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater (preferred)
