About the role
- Help identify issues, generate solutions, and verify the solutions are implemented as designed
- Development of concepts of operations for radar systems
- Radar processing algorithm development
- Radar software requirements development
- Statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
- Analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
- Collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
- Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
- Work on focus areas including signal processing and waveform design, electronic protection methods, phased array and digital beamforming technology, radar search, track and discrimination design, target and threat modeling, integration and test of large radar systems, MBSE
- Provide daily on-site support (not open to hybrid or remote)
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Security Clearance: DoD Clearance: Secret
- Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
- Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments (preferred)
- Design experience in antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning (preferred)
- Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS (preferred)
- Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++ (preferred)
- Technical writing and oral presentation skills (preferred)
- Masters/PhD in a STEM field (preferred)
- Ability to support daily on-site work and occasional travel
