About the role
- Research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services
- Develop complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms
- Usher architectures from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test
- Serve as a cross-functional engineer with system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle
- Participate on the SNC-led SAOC team to modernize and deliver next-generation SAOC aircraft trusted for critical command and control
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design and development teams and perform verification and validation activities
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline
- Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation
- Systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies
- Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required (position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance)
- Preferred: Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB
- Preferred: Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles and MBSE
- Preferred: Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
- Preferred: Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Preferred: Experience leading baseline definition and maturation and establishing/tracking Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
