Serve as primary interface between supplier base and internal stakeholders for critical DOD programs
Ensure flow down of product requirements to sub-tier suppliers via PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statements of work
Interpret program requirements to ensure supplier understanding and compliance with quality requirements
Drive continuous product/process improvements by identifying supplier risk and systemic performance issues and implementing corrective actions (RCA, Six Sigma, Lean)
Apply APQP processes related to supplier performance and implement engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes
Represent quality during review boards for supplier design changes, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews
Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and reviews (travel up to 25%)
Engage with external stakeholders such as DCMA and manage complex supplier base across electrical, mechanical, energetic fields
Requirements
Typically Requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
5 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline
Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
Experience with one or more of the following Quality Management standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions
Previous experience interpretating schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques
U.S. Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Security Clearance: DoD Clearance: Secret
Ability to travel up to 25% to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews
Preferred: Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
Preferred: Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery
Preferred: Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems, AS9145 Requirements for APQP & PPAP, and FAI Standard AS9102
Preferred: Experience with SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans
General knowledge of industry technical standards (ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
