About the role
- Provide electrical and mechanical station build support for research, design, development or manufacturing activities
- Read engineering drawings and build engineering builds and associated cabling and connectors
- Use engineering tools and systems to look up reference and program information needed
- Assist engineers with the development of new engineering processes and/or products to ensure their manufacturability
- Recommend design changes as needed
- Perform printed circuit design build and repairs, including multi-pin cable and connector builds and cable continuity verification
- Work onsite in Aguadilla, PR with hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Requirements
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment (relocation not offered)
- Previous experience reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools (preferred)
- Previous experience with printed circuit design build and repairs, including multi-pin cable and connector builds and cable continuity verification (preferred)
- Familiarity with repair and assembly workmanship standards: IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001 (preferred)
- Familiarity with ESD Controls standard: ANSI/ESD S20.20 (preferred)
- Familiarity with Test Engineering Support: ISO/IEC-17025a (preferred)
- Familiarity on how to interpret and apply Safety Data Sheets for handling materials such as solder, flux, and cleaners (preferred)
