About the role

  • Support the development and sustainment of avionics lab and related test activities
  • Design and development of lab hardware and sustainment of new and legacy units
  • Document requirements, develop and maintain test articles and interfaces
  • Perform hardware and software integration ensuring systems work together for qualification
  • Troubleshoot and resolve lab issues of new and legacy test equipment
  • Participate in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems
  • Assist in the development of test procedures, instrumentation and configuration definition
  • Develop solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact
  • Perform data analysis, develop and utilize data processing tools
  • Design simple component level hardware or software
  • Use analytical tools to verify the design and verify collection of complete data set
  • Maintain test logs, prepare simple test reports and archive data
  • Review test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy prior to delivery to customer
  • Prepare and publish test reports; present test results to internal and external customers
  • Archive data and reports
  • Work under direct supervision

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent
  • Experience with electronic hardware testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience with testing in the realms of Software and Electronic Hardware development
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting top assembly and detail level wire drawings
  • 1 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
  • 1 or more years of experience working with electrical data bus interface standards (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, RS-232) (preferred)
  • 1 or more years of experience working with MIL-STD Connectors such as D38999 (preferred)
  • Experience with generating electrical drawings using AutoCAD or Visio (preferred)
  • Experience with hardware configuration control and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, TeamCenter) (preferred)
  • Experience in the creation of Statement of Work and estimates, plans, schedules and corrective action (preferred)
  • Experience in developing hardware verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing test procedures and documenting test results (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Drug Free Workplace: post offer testing for substances
  • U.S. Person required for export control compliance
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required
