About the role

Work onsite at RTX State College, PA Facility or RTX Cityline Facility in Richardson, TX and travel periodically between locations
Support program sustainment and modernization efforts spanning the product lifecycle
Engage in customer engagement and requirements definition
Perform software/hardware development & integration, system test & validation, deployment & maintenance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, software, cybersecurity, infrastructure) to ensure product delivery with minimal operational impact
Perform software engineering activities including architecture definition and maintenance, application development and maintenance testing, integration, and documentation
Adhere to accepted standards and processes for development, participate in peer reviews, maintain test environments & coverage
Provide feedback for product improvements and ensure consistency in quality and performance
Support the program Chief Product Owner in executing and defining facets of sustainment and modernization
Ensure overall system execution is reliable, maintainable, and deployable while meeting operational performance requirements

Minimum 8 years working experience in object-oriented software design and development using Java
Software and system-level architectural skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Must be able to work onsite at the RTX State College, PA Facility or RTX Cityline Facility in Richardson, TX and be open to travel to the other location periodically
