About the role
- Integrate all aspects of Engineering Software functions into Enterprise Services Strategy and Transformation Initiatives
- Develop supplier capabilities, partnerships and category strategies for internal use requirements
- Translate technical software knowledge via contract negotiations and project management
- Lead coordination, communication and integration of suppliers to support achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives
- Build strategy, lead and manage negotiations for Engineering Software contracts
- Gather requirements and identify solutions to achieve desired outcomes
- Review, draft, and revise a variety of contracts including software licenses and master agreements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including partnership peers, legal, finance, cyber
- Manage relationship with suppliers ensuring adherence to agreed terms, quality, and opportunity development
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in Engineering software environment
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years’ Procurement Management or Engineering Software Consulting Experience
- Experience with various types of software licensing models for Engineering Software
- Experience in negotiating software/SaaS contracts to drive year on year cost savings
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Understanding of supplier products and develop various strategies to drive cost savings
- Understanding of end-to-end procurement process, from contract negotiations to requisition and PO placement
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with Engineering Software experiences: Atlassian, Siemens, Synopsys, PTC, Ansys and MathWorks
- Experience with license types and complex pricing analysis
- Strong project management skills (preferred)
- Ability to develop and manage an integrated master schedule (preferred)
