About the role
- Eliminate customer escapes by identifying non-conformance drivers and implementing mistake proof solutions
- Continually improve manufacturing processes and performance to reduce scrap, rework, and repair dollars
- Provide strategic leadership in development and implementation of project quality plans to meet SRR and escape reduction goals
- Improve internal and external manufacturing, inspection, and test processes to reduce and prevent defects
- Participate in Problem Resolution and RCCA Teams with manufacturing, product and quality engineering, and operations support functions
- Implement immediate risk containment measures and systemic mistake proof solutions at selected suppliers
- Develop and deliver technical training to inspection and operations teams
- Support development of productivity initiatives to improve product acceptance methodology
- Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Act as liaison between ACT, program office and internal customers when discussing quality concerns
- Comply with FAA standards, applicable laws, and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field OR 2 years of prior work experience in quality, test or inspection
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract)
- RRCA and manufacturing shop experience desired
- CQE preferred
- Strong understanding of statistics
- Certified Heat Treat Representative (AMS2750)
- Certified AS9100D Internal Auditor
- Trained in FAI review per AS9102
- CLCSR (Certified Laboratory Control at Source Representative)
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. lean manufacturing, CORE, QCPC)
- Ability to comply with FAA standards, applicable laws, and company policies
- Experience leading problem resolution and RCCA teams
- Experience with MRP-related quality, productivity, and process flow control
