About the role
- Work as part of the Quality Assurance Department; report to the Director of Maintenance and work directly with the QA Manager
- Work closely with the Director of Maintenance and the Chief Inspector/QA department(s) to manage administrative functions for maintenance departments in both 135 air carrier and 145 repair station operations
- Identify recurring possible problems with aircraft records keeping procedures or particular aircraft
- Report records discrepancies to the Quality Assurance Manager
- Update computer database for tracking of all parts that have time, cycle, date or any designated usage limit
- Generate reports as required
- Monitor aircraft records to ensure accuracy of component times and subsequent record entries by running periodic audits
- Audit aircraft records to ensure compliance of required Service Bulletins and airworthiness directives
- Audit work packages and aircraft logbook sheet for accuracy and completeness
- Update calibration documentation and ensure that all required tools are calibrated at required frequency
- Revise RSQC and RSTM manuals and distribute revisions to all locations and maintain audit trail for distributions
- Recommend programs to ensure and enhance satisfactory performance of aircraft maintenance
- Ensure that audit finding discrepancies and corrective actions are tracked, archived and reported to appropriate company department managers for analysis
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report all unsafe activities
- Perform other record keeping functions and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) preferred
- Previous administration and or quality assurance experience preferred
- Must be knowledgeable of all company auditing, evaluation, and reporting procedures
- Must be willing to complete required company training
- Great communication and organizational skills required
- Ability to work in a high-pressure work environment and meet deadlines efficiently
- Ability to comply with company and FAA regulatory rules and regulations
- Must have the ability to develop instructions and procedures and to work independently
- Ability to multi-task, manage/administer programs, processes and procedures in an efficient manner
- Attention to detail and accuracy in compliance documentation required
- Flexible and analytical thinking with outstanding organizational skills required
- Sound judgment and objectivity in decision making is essential
- Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- RAMCO Software experience preferred
- Regular scheduled attendance; travel approximately 5%
