About the role
- Join Hardware Engineering Team as part of Connected Aviation business supporting ATC systems
- Work with COTS components to design and integrate new capabilities into larger systems
- Verify assembly and functionality in laboratory environment
- Troubleshoot and analyze test results
- Perform various analyses and simulations
- 3D CAD modeling and technical drawing creation of mechanical designs including electronic equipment racks and ATC workstations
- Gain experience in electronic design and work with COTS and custom hardware designs to achieve system requirements
- Collaborate in multi-discipline environment and participate in design verification and hardware issue resolution
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
- Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories and concepts
- Familiar with modeling parts and assemblies using Creo or similar CAD system
- Technical experience through prior internships
- Self-starting and able to complete tasks given minimal direction
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and demonstrated history of working well in a team environment
