About the role

perform network engineering and design, creating engineering design artifacts, hands on administration, implementation, and troubleshooting of Enterprise Level Juniper network systems
design\implementing switch, firewall, and router configurations, utilizing knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices
leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to design, deploy, implement, modernize, and support scalable Juniper network solutions
design/architect/develop and support Juniper Network systems optimizing for performance and scalability across multiple computing environments
utilize command-line interface (CLI) knowledge for configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Juniper hardware
utilize Linux skills at the command line to deploy updates and change products for Juniper based network systems to support program needs
provide guidance on network resource allocation, utilization, and optimization
troubleshoot network issues and perform mitigation and prevention
use in-depth knowledge of core routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and VLANs to support program’s networking needs
work primarily in Aurora, CO location and drive into the Raytheon Facility to support system development
travel up to 10% to customer sites to support Installation, integration and test activities as needed

Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 5 years of related work experience
Advanced Experience designing, configuring, deploying, and supporting Juniper network systems
Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0+)
Comp TIA Security + within 90 days after starting in the role
Current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required day 1
U.S. citizenship is required
Current Juniper Networking Certification (JNCIA-Junos; JNCIS-SP; JNCIP; JNCIE) is highly desired
Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g.: Scrum, SAFe)
Experience with Juniper's cloud networking solutions and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Experience with code repository systems (E.g. ClearCase, Bit Bucket)
Basic Experience with scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash)
Basic Experience Using Automation Frameworks
Experience in other network products (E.g. Cisco, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA, Brocade) is a plus
Basic Experience with containerization tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher is a plus
Comp TIA Security + certification (preferred)
