About the role

  • Develop formal learning content for Ping Identity's customer courses, certifications, and workshops
  • Create engaging and high-quality technical curriculum content that explains Ping Identity product capabilities and features to developers, system integrators, and system administrators globally
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts across Ping Identity to create engaging, hands-on, task-based training for specific technical audiences
  • Coordinate continually to identify evolving needs and proactively incorporate learner feedback from survey tools into new training development
  • Develop comprehensive learning materials including student training guides, workbooks, lab environments, certification questions, and instructor presentation decks across delivery modalities
  • Build and configure Ping Identity products to precisely capture the steps required for student lab exercises
  • Test and debug all training deliverables (books, presentations, and labs) to ensure top-tier quality
  • Manage course development projects in alignment with the Senior Manager, Certification and Curriculum Development
  • Maintain and enhance existing content, making necessary adjustments and releasing timely updates
  • Support and mentor junior developers and contractors where appropriate
  • Lead test (alpha/beta) events for developed content and deliver Train-The-Trainer sessions for the global instructor network
  • Provide expert technical assistance by answering student inquiries over the Ping Identity Training ticketing system
  • Assist authorized instructors with delivering the created content when questions arise
  • Support technical marketing initiatives for Ping Identity Training with content (Q&As, webinars, social, short videos)
  • Deliver courses for which you are the SME to internal and external audiences as an instructor
  • Engage in the Education Consultancy process for potential private event deliveries

Requirements

  • Bachelor\u0027s Degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science or Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience with technical training learning material design and development, including online virtual labs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the responsibilities of software developers, integrators, and system administrators
  • Strong writing, editing, and content structuring skills
  • System administration experience of Windows, CentOS Linux, or other Linux/UNIX related operating systems
  • Experience of TCP/IP networking, load balancing, REST, Virtual and Cloud Machines, and network security (SSL/TLS)
  • Master\u0027s Degree (preferred)
  • Experience of instructional design (preferred)
  • Ability to transform complex technical information into engaging and effective training (preferred)
  • Ability to review created content from a student\u0027s point of view (preferred)
  • Technical training instructor experience (preferred)
  • Ability to use technical content development authoring tools such as iSpring and Markdown (preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - as well as editing and proofreading skills (preferred)
  • Good time management and project management skills (preferred)
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment (preferred)
  • Ability to work as part of a distributed team across multiple time zones (preferred)
  • Knowledge of PingIDM and/or PingDS (preferred)
  • Experience using Markdown, HTML, git (or other source control systems), and mind-mapping tools (preferred)
  • System administration experience at certification level (preferred)
  • Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, OIDC, and LDAP Data Stores (preferred)
  • Experience of Ping Identity Platform software (preferred)
  • Some knowledge of development/scripting, ideally in JavaScript/Java/Groovy (preferred)
  • Awareness of DevOps best practices including deployment automation tools, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes (preferred)
  • Awareness of at least one of the major cloud vendor platforms: Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure (preferred)
