About the role
- Develop an understanding of Routeware’s contract and billing process
- Serve as primary point of contact for all incoming billing disputes or discrepancies
- Research and timely resolution of customer billing disputes; identify related Sage Intacct & Salesforce discrepancies and work cross-functionally to resolve
- Assist with documenting updates to the Company’s order-to-cash processes to streamline billing and AR
- Provide support for daily invoicing functions
- Daily support of finance-related Zendesk inquiries
- Input data into accounting system, verify accuracy, and ensure systems are in balance
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and post general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain internal controls
- Assist in the monthly close and creation of the monthly close report for Management
- Assist in financial analysis and department reporting
- Prepare standard and specialized financial reports in accordance with GAAP
- Provide supporting documentation and analytical information for tax advisors and external audits
- Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions
- Work with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in special projects as needed
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting processes and procedures
- Prior experience in a SaaS billing environment
- Experience working with Salesforce & CPQ
- Handles confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized, self-directed team player
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Continuous process improvement mindset
- Prioritizes and plans work activities effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, or a minor in business/accounting/finance with relevant experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience in established middle-market companies
- Skilled in enterprise-level accounting software, Microsoft Office, and other business software systems
- Experienced with general office equipment
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
- (Preferred) Advanced Microsoft Excel user
- (Preferred) Strong experience with daily Accounts Receivable functions
- (Preferred) Experience with Sage Intacct and Tesorio software
- (Preferred) SaaS/Software industry experience
- (Preferred) Experience in multiple currency transactions and inter-company transactions
- (Preferred) Experience with sales tax calculations and filing in multiple jurisdictions
