About the role
- Record and categorize all incoming and outgoing transactions in QuickBooks
- Manage A/P entries and prepare/issue customer invoices for wholesale accounts
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Perform weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Reconcile third-party platforms such as Shopify and track incoming deposits from multiple channels
- Work with Avalara on sales tax processing and tax notices
- Assist with monthly close procedures as assigned and support month-end reporting
- Communicate proactively with team members regarding finance-related questions and issues
- Support finance team and Finance Manager as needed to streamline processes as company scales
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial operations
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Excel, and Google Workspace
- Prior experience in e-commerce, retail, inventory or consumer goods strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of GAAP, bookkeeping practices, and financial statements
- Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks with precision
- Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience with inventory accounting and COGS tracking is a plus
- Knowledge of Shopify, Concur, Bill.com and Avalara a plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Business sense and ability to make sound judgment calls
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information
