Accountant

• Own and execute all aspects of the monthly accounting close process—including reviewing system-generated entries, preparing manual journal entries, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Documenting existing, and new accounting policies and procedures
• Collaborate with IT and other cross-functional teams to drive necessary SAP system modification/enhancement to improve existing accounting operations.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation, addressing audit inquiries, and assisting with the remediation of identified issues.
• Assist in key compliance efforts, including (SOX) requirements and formal Balance Sheet Reviews.
• Providing in-depth analysis on both P/L and Balance sheet accounts
• Supporting other ad-hoc analysis and report requirement
• Identifying new opportunities and driving process and productivity improvements by learning and utilizing the Fortive Business System (FBS)
