About the role
- Deliver customer support through on-site installation of complex equipment and systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair manufacturing systems and components
- Verify and approve the operational quality of system components
- Provide instruction to customers on system operation and maintenance
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and clients on technical and administrative aspects of assigned projects
- Perform project management functions for customer projects including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting
- Collaborate with internal and customer teams to improve process and discrete control system efficiency
- Travel to customer sites to perform physical tasks needed to install and maintain manufacturing systems
- Reduce customer downtime by analyzing technical problems and implementing solutions that meet customer requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employer will not sponsor employment visas
- 3+ years of experience in field/service support (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of PLC systems, particularly Allen Bradley platforms
- Experience designing and programming Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for industrial applications
- Familiarity with RS Logix 5000 software
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Experience with wiring, panel layout, and control system integration
- Solid understanding of industrial electrical components and safety standards
- Experience with motion control systems and industrial drive technologies
- Diagnostic skills with industrial networks, variable frequency drives (Power Flex), FT View HMI, and legacy Allen Bradley controllers
- Ability to travel to customer sites for installation and maintenance
- Experience with tools such as PC laptop, multi-meters, hand tools, drills, and wiring diagrams
- Prior work in manufacturing or industrial settings with exposure to automation and process control
