About the role
- Support the International & UK PR Director with reactive PR stories and digital PR campaigns
- Write content and press releases
- Create media lists and outreach stories to the German press
- Build relationships with German journalists
- Continually monitor news and proactively come up with ideas and newsjack trending conversations
- Search for coverage and links
- Keep your manager up to date on progress and results
- Ensure all clients hit their monthly KPIs and maintain a high level of activity
- Support with new business pitches
- Report to Digital PR Lead
Requirements
- You're fluent in German (native)
- Experience in Digital PR or worked in the German media before as a Journalist/Editor
- You know the German media landscape as the back of your hand
- Written language abilities to write stories and content the German press want to cover
- Expert in writing click-worthy head- and subject lines
- You know what’s trending and what’s happening in the German news; check the news daily
- Spotting trends early on via e.g. TikTok
- Understanding of SEO
- Self-starter and accountable, owning the delivery of results for PR campaigns
- Spot opportunities and go above and beyond for clients and the agency
- Flexible, proactive and excellent at communications
