About the role
- Coordinate, optimize, and maintain Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, primarily Epic, to support providers and improve patient care.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and configure Epic functionality and modules.
- Serve as subject matter expert on Epic configuration and customization.
- Analyze clinical and administrative workflows and translate user needs into Epic system configurations.
- Provide training, documentation, and troubleshooting for Epic applications and end-users.
- Use Epic reporting tools to extract and analyze healthcare data; develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards.
- Coordinate with Risant Health, affiliated organizations, and KP IT teams; maintain inventory of functionality gaps and prioritized projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a clinical, healthcare IT, or informatics setting.
- At least two (2) years of direct, hands-on experience with Epic.
- Proven experience with Epic EHR systems, including implementation, configuration, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical terminology, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies for mapping and optimizing clinical workflows.
