About the role
- Proactively manage RingCentral’s premier installed public sector customers
- Cultivate and saturate business within assigned accounts (200+ accounts)
- Uncover and capitalize on upsell opportunities while providing high level customer service
- Leverage B2B solution selling skills to grow book of business and expand RingCentral footprint
- Navigate public-sector procurement and long sales cycles to close deals
- Act as an innovator driving communication messaging within multiple public-sector sub-verticals
Requirements
- Selling to state and local government, K-12, and higher education
- Ability to navigate complex procurement rules and long sales cycles
- Become the resident expert on RingCentral UCaaS (hosted VoIP, Contact Center, Mobile Apps, IP hardware)
- Develop strong understanding of customers’ business priorities, systems and public sector use cases
- Utilize sales methodologies and processes to demonstrate advantages of RingCentral
- Ownership of 200+ accounts and uncover/capitalize on upsell opportunities
- 2-3 years B2B upmarket sales experience, preferably in technology
- Demonstrated record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
- Proven track record targeting state and local government, K-12, and higher ed
- Success maintaining existing customer base, cultivating new business, upselling services/products
- Excellent customer service orientation (face-to-face and virtual)
- Strong initiative, creativity, vibrant and energetic attitude
