The Operations Digitization Delivery Lead is a Subject Matter Expert in Digital Operations, responsible for guiding the successful deployment and adoption of industrial digital solutions. Embedded within client-facing teams, this role leads planning, implementation, and sustainment efforts for operational technology rollouts, ensuring alignment with frontline workflows and strategic business priorities.
By bridging corporate project teams, site operations, and OT groups, the Delivery Lead drives measurable value through improved safety, compliance, and efficiency. Leveraging deep knowledge of operations practices—such as shift handover, operator rounds, and procedure execution—and expertise in platforms like Hexagon j5, this role enables transformation that is both technically sound and operationally impactful.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrated Planning: Leads the development of a coordinated project plan that aligns enterprise digital initiatives with the specific priorities of each operating unit.
Stakeholder Engagement: Works directly with operational leaders to understand local requirements, KPIs, and scope additional needs as they emerge.
Implementation Support: Creates detailed implementation plans for each unit, incorporating change management strategies to promote adoption and minimize resistance.
Mentorship and Enablement: Coaches team and client operational stakeholders on the purpose and value of digital solutions, supporting knowledge transfer and confidence in daily use.
Testing and Go-Live Participation: Facilitates operational testing activities, liaises with project managers to resolve issues, and provides on-the-ground support during go-live phases.
Communication and Reporting: Prepares and presents weekly status updates, manages the RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) log, and ensures clear, continuous communication with project sponsors and technical teams.
Technology Liaison: Acts as the conduit between operational units and the client’s OT and IT organizations, helping align technical roadmaps and resolve integration challenges.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in industrial digital operations, OT/IT project delivery, or transformation roles.
5+ years of experience in Operations within heavy asset environments (e.g., Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, Manufacturing), with direct involvement in
Experience leading or supporting consulting engagements in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments.
Strong understanding of change management principles as they relate to digital adoption and operational readiness.
Understanding of compliance, safety, and reliability requirements in operational environments.
Experience with digital transformation initiatives in asset-intensive industries, including:
j5, Smart Completions, Work Execution, or Asset Performance Management.
Familiarity with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), mobile work solutions, and data integration with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CMMS, Historian).
Project management training or certification (e.g., PMP) is considered an asset.
Current resident of the Greater Houston Area or in the Calgary, Alberta area are preferred.
A current resident of and legally authorized to work in Canada or the U.S. (citizen, green card holder, permanent resident, or visa holder).
