Serve as a trusted legal advisor supporting RethinkFirst’s legal operations and business initiatives
Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, Channel, vendor, and privacy contracts
Counsel business leaders and collaborate with Sales, Information Security, Customer Success, Procurement, and Operations
Triage and track the end-to-end contract lifecycle: intake, negotiation, execution, archiving, and reporting
Maintain and enforce legal processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance
Act with urgency to meet month-end, quarter-end, and year-end business deadlines
Lead strategic initiatives, including selection and implementation of the company’s first Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system
Manage ad hoc legal projects and support broader legal team initiatives
Develop and maintain training materials for onboarding cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, CS, etc.)
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing
5+ years of experience practicing law, with at least 2+ years of in-house experience
Expertise in commercial contracting and corporate law; experience in SaaS or technology sector strongly preferred
Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory issues, including HIPAA, FERPA, GDPR
Ability to integrate AI tools into legal workflows (e.g., contract review automation, compliance analytics, knowledge management)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
Strong problem-solving orientation with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Positive, proactive mindset with comfort managing ambiguity and building processes from the ground up
