About the role
- Define and evolve Replit’s brand voice, tone, and narrative across all communications.
- Lead copywriting for high-profile product launches, campaigns, events, and cultural activations.
- Write and adapt marketing assets across channels — web, social, email, paid media, video scripts, event copy, and more.
- Create scalable editorial guidelines and frameworks that empower teams across the company to write with excellence.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, strategists, and agency partners.
- Elevate the quality of writing across every touchpoint, advocating for clarity, creativity, and brand-led thinking.
- Explore new creative formats and cultural opportunities that push the Replit story forward.
- Move fluidly from high-level concepting to meticulous execution, working closely with design, marketing, product, and external partners.
- Report directly to the Executive Creative Director, ensuring close collaboration on vision, craft, and execution.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in brand writing or copywriting at leading agencies, technology companies, or in-house creative teams.
- A portfolio that demonstrates conceptual strength and world-class copywriting across campaigns, platforms, and marketing assets.
- Mastery of language, storytelling, and voice, with a proven eye for detail and craft.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams at the intersection of marketing, product, and design.
- Ability to drive work from concept to final execution in fast-paced, iterative environments.
- Experience creating or scaling global brand voice and editorial systems (preferred).
- Exposure to writing across motion, digital platforms, and experiential activations (preferred).
- Strong presentation and communication skills able to inspire confidence in creative direction across stakeholders (preferred).
- Interest in AI, creativity, and shaping the cultural narrative around new technologies (preferred).
- Portfolio/portfolio URL required on application.
- Must be able to work from Foster City, CA HQ 3 days per week (Mon, Wed, Fri) or be willing to relocate.
