About the role
- Maintain daily B/D register and report out Breakdown reports, gap analysis and action plan
- Formulate action plans for correction of repetitive failure through implementing kaizen to reduce MTBF & MTTR
- Proactive planning of spares required for replacement during PM and maintain critical spare part list
- Prepare PM checklists and maintain reports after PM
- Systematic problem solving using iPDCA and why-why analysis
- Improve 6s conditions of Maintenance stores and maintenance areas
- Create roles/responsibility matrix, skill matrix and training plan
- Adhere to QMS & EHS requirements and ensure timely closure of audit and safety observations
- Identify resources and collaborate with cross-functional departments for effective planning
- Define KPIs, set departmental objectives and control monthly maintenance budget
- Plan and execute planned maintenance work (including Sundays) and improvement projects
- Oversee utilities and plant maintenance to ensure continuous plant operation and statutory compliance
- Conduct regular facility inspections and manage repair and installation activities
- Facilitate team development through training and enforce discipline on shopfloor
Requirements
- BE Mechanical/Electrical
- 15 to 18 Years of Experience in Maintenance Department in Automotive industry preferably in large Machine Shop
- Knowledge of TPM and 6s
- Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting of CNC machines
- Experience with kaizen, iPDCA, why-why analysis
- Familiarity with QMS & EHS requirements and statutory compliances
- Experience in spare parts planning and inventory management for critical spares
- Experience defining KPIs, budgets, and departmental objectives
- Ability to create roles & responsibility matrix, skill matrix and training plans
