About the role
- ReadMe is hiring a Product Manager to help redefine how developers interact with APIs and to ensure documentation feels alive, not just written.\n
- Documentation is the UI for your API, dynamic, interactive, and thoughtfully designed.\n
- You’ll ensure our product anticipates developers’ needs, simplifies complexity, and feels like it’s on their side.\n
- We’re a small team; startup flexibility to tackle big initiatives.\n
- ReadMe builds beautiful, personalized, interactive developer hubs and tools for teams to create and manage docs.\n
- What you’ll do: Own developer-facing product experiences (API Explorer, reference guides, SDKs); Make technical things human; Ensure ReadMe is awesome by default; Remove friction; Understand developer pain points; Act as the voice of the developer; Get into the code.\n
- You’ll love this job if you’re curious, hands-on, and empathetic with developers.\n

Requirements
- Familiar with developer tools, APIs, and technical environments—and not afraid to dig into repos or talk through tradeoffs.\n
- Comfortable working across disciplines and navigating ambiguity to keep momentum.\n
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to distill complexity for developers.\n
- Detail-oriented and eager to polish features until they feel effortless.\n
- Strategic thinker with ownership and ability to contribute to cross-company initiatives.
