About the role
- WeMod mission: make gaming more fun by building the world’s ultimate PC game companion used by millions.
- Partner closely with Lead Product Designer and experienced team to craft intuitive, empowering experiences across product portfolio.
- Own design problems end-to-end, from research and ideation through shipping and continuous iteration.
- Design features including enhanced mod discovery, interactive game guides, maps, and community-driven features.
- Influence product strategy through design and collaborate with leadership to define the evolving platform.
- Operate autonomously while collaborating closely with team members.
- Partner directly with engineers to ensure designs translate into performance-sensitive gaming experiences.
- Lead user research and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
- Contribute to evolving design standards and the design system; adapt between strategy and hands-on execution.
Requirements
- 4 years of product design experience, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful process and excellent visual/UI execution.
- Comfort with autonomy, thriving with minimal direction and ambiguity.
- Strong collaboration skills, particularly in partnership with engineering teams on technical feasibility.
- Excellent communication skills, clearly presenting design thinking to stakeholders, founders, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Figma with demonstrated ability to leverage AI-enabled design workflows and current design tools/methodologies.
- Experience designing consumer products, ideally in gaming, entertainment, or community-focused apps.
- Startup mindset; energized by fast-moving environments, shifting priorities, and high-impact opportunities.
- Passion for gaming culture and understanding of what makes gaming experiences great.
