About the role
- Lead and coordinate a team of fire protection engineers and specialists for all fire protection activities
- Maintain accountability of the commitment to project deliverables
- Client facing, interface with project stakeholders (installers, owner, authority having jurisdiction)
- Provide technical guidance for various disciplines across the project as it relates to fire protection
- Moderate technical meetings
- Travel to project sites and AtkinsRéalis offices located in Toronto area
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or diploma in fire protection engineering technology or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the field of fire protection engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with PEO
- Certification from Engineering Association is an asset
- Expert knowledge of NBCC, NFCC, CSA N293, NFPA, ULC standards
- Good understanding of fire protection systems (fire alarm and suppression)
- Submit for and maintain a federal security clearance and valid driving license
