About the role
- Help patients check into the hospital and intake information
- Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment
- Collect patient and insurance information accurately across multiple screens and programs
- Type quickly and input details between physician and nurse check-ins
- Work around clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent clinical care
- Ask follow-up questions, build rapport, and ease patient anxiety
- Fast-paced, often on your feet assisting patients complete their registration
- Support patient registration as the first step in a healthcare career at R1 RCM Inc.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Comfortable multitasking, typing quickly, and answering phones
- Quick study with technology and ability to work across multiple programs
- Comfortable working around clinicians and seeing illness and injuries
- Must be up to date on all vaccinations
- Must pass a drug test prior to hire
- Must pass a background check prior to hire
- Ability to build rapport, listen with compassion, and ask follow-up questions
- Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 8a-5p
- Location: Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Nowata or Bartlesville, OK (US-based position)
