About the role
- Help patients check into the hospital and collect registration information
- Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment
- Input details correctly across multiple screens between physician and nurse check-ins
- Ask follow-up questions, build rapport and listen with compassion to ease patient anxiety
- Work quickly in a fast-paced environment and assist patients completing their registration
- Coordinate with clinicians who may interrupt registration for emergent clinical care
- Learn health plan and coverage variations through training
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Comfortable multi-tasking, typing quickly and answering phones
- Quick study with technology; ability to work across multiple programs
- Must be up to date on all vaccinations
- Must pass a drug test prior to hire
- Must pass a background check prior to hire
- Must be prepared to see illness and injuries in hospital/lab environment
- Able to work Friday & Saturday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM shift
