About the role
- Supervise and provide attentive care for up to 14 children in a group setting
- Ensure all children receive proper care, attention, and supervision throughout the day
- Lead and assist with educational activities and learning experiences appropriate for various age groups
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and daily activities
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules; compensation based on experience and qualifications
Requirements
- Background Check: Must successfully pass comprehensive background screening
- CPR & First Aid Certification: Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification required
- Energy & Motivation: Self-motivated with high energy levels and enthusiasm for working with children
- Reliability: Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance
- Previous childcare or daycare experience (preferred)
- Early Childhood Education degree, certificate, or coursework (preferred)
- Preschool teaching experience (preferred)
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and needs (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (preferred)
