About the role
- Oversee day-to-day security operations at a premier downtown Toronto property
- Lead and mentor a team of 1–3 security guards
- Proactively respond to emergencies and incidents
- Liaise with Site Director, Property Management, and other departments
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to tenants, guests, and employees
- Conduct highly visible patrols of assigned areas by foot
- Assist visitors with directions, information, and general inquiries
- Support property events by offering guest assistance
- Respond to safety concerns, medical emergencies (First Aid, CPR, AED), and law enforcement incidents
- Enforce property rules and regulations fairly and consistently
- Document incidents and prepare reports in line with Paladin standards
- Address trespassers and unauthorized persons safely and professionally
- Maintain traffic control and facilitate access to restricted areas for authorized personnel
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of two Covid vaccine doses
- English fluency (oral and written)
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) (nice to have)
- Willingness to complete Paladin’s UOF/MOAB training if not already certified (training costs covered with a 6-month commitment)
