About the role
- Develop the SC3 safety case in accordance with DSA.02 during Demonstration through to entry into service
- Work alongside SC3 Safety Manager, report to TSDT Chief Engineer (SSR) and SC3 Lead Engineer
- Contribute to and deliver Safety Management Plan (SMP) updates and annual SMP uplift
- Review and accept MBDA Safety Case Report and DefStan 00-056 AMC compliance
- Maintain SC3 safety artefacts: Safety Summary, Forward Action Plan, Void Tracker (monthly updates)
- Manage tasking and deliverables acceptance; update SC3 Operational Safety & Environmental Case Report (SECR) and sign-off for storage/handling/transport
- Review and update hazardous materials register/dossiers
- Support SC3 Operational OME Safety Review Panel (OSRP) queries and support issuing of OAS
- Develop and maintain SC3 TSDT Hazard Log, accept MBDA Final Hazard Log Report and Hazard Leaflets
- Provide ongoing general safety support, advice, and attendance at meetings/working groups
Requirements
- Active SC clearance with sole UK nationality
- Familiarity with DE&S safety management systems and processes (POSMS)
- Experience in OME Safety
- Skilled in producing/maintaining Safety & Environmental Management Plans
- Experience of Safety Cases and Safety Case Reports
- Strong knowledge of Hazard Logs and hazard identification/assessment
- Ability to review/update hazardous materials registers/dossiers
- Experience supporting Operational OME Safety Review Panels and issuing OAS
- Desirable: Knowledge of DE&S environmental management systems and processes (POEMS)
- Desirable: Experience with Air integrated OME
- Desirable: Experience with complex weapon systems
