QA Engineer

• Own the generation of technical quality requirements and documentation for the acquisition of systems, including the considerations to in-service support and associated costs and risks.
• Contribute to Quality investigations, root cause analysis, internal process performance improvement activities and supplier escalations/interventions to reduce acquisition risk.
• Working in a highly regulated area, educate others with relevant legislation, regulation, policy, processes, and standards to deliver technical documentation for a system. This includes the essential relation to quality, safety, security, and sustainability, of the system, and the interoperability with other sub-systems.
• Ensures quality risks and opportunities are captured and actively managed.
• Plan quality surveillance interventions and activities to best mitigate supplier and technical risk, which may involve implementing delivery surveillance activities and recommending allocation of resource to reflect priorities.
• Provide comprehensive QA advice to a variety of different Teams and suppliers across multiple Themes, over quality requirements, and supplier compliance compromises, to maximise successful system implementation and delivery.
• Conduct and manage the delivery of QA surveillance in support of risk management, supplier oversight/assurance, test, verification, validation, evaluation, and acceptance.
• Develop GQA strategies within medium to large project areas seeking innovative opportunities for effective and efficient deployment of GQA resources across the supply chain. This includes all areas of the CAMID Cycle.
• Lead technical assurance activities.
• Provide comprehensive QA advice and guidance to the decommissioning and disposal process.
• Authorise recommendations in relation to your technical area of knowledge and improved performance and GQA service delivery.

Quality Assurance Manager – Rotary Wing, UAS

Production Engineer

• Act as the point of contact for engineering issues
• Timely identification and resolution of engineering issues throughout the JAG process.
• Manage the End Item Data Pack (EIDP)
• Complete, update and securely store the EIDP to ensure readiness for future audits.
• Stakeholder management
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with all JAG process stakeholders to facilitate smooth acceptance and issue mitigation.
• Liaise with production departments
• Provide accurate updates and information, including concessions and ATT, to support the EIDP and gate reviews.
• Attend Gate 1-3 reviews
• Deliver engineering assurance and support to the Project Manager throughout all Gate 1-3 reviews.
• Sign gate review forms when required
• Authorise gate review forms promptly in the Project Manager’s absence to expedite processing.
• Review JAG inspection scripts
• Ensure inspection scripts and amendments are reviewed and approved for accuracy.
• Liaise with ATT
• Address and resolve issues identified during Inspection and Test (I&T).
• Engage with the AJAX In-Service Team
• Coordinate with the In-Service Team to ensure vehicles are ready for service.

Engineering Manager

• Act as the Lead Engineer within the Manufacture Pillar, providing technical leadership and coordination of manufacturing engineering activities.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Chief and other Lead Engineers to identify, manage, and resolve manufacturing engineering issues promptly and effectively.
• Drive issue resolution processes related to manufacturing engineering, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and quality.
• Provide support to JAG engineers, facilitating communication and coordination between manufacturing and other project functions.
• Support the Manufacture Senior Project Manager by providing technical input, progress updates, and risk assessments related to manufacturing engineering.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing engineering requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the manufacturing process and engineering practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

Engineering Manager – AJAX Production

• Lead engineering activity required to deliver the assessment of Under Armour Track Tensioning and Composite Rubber Track technology.
• Ensure technical requirements are consistent with user feedback and needs, considering cost (procurement and through-life), time and retrofit.
• Provide technical input to the development and delivery of the Spirals work-packages within the Joint Schedule.
• Identify and analyse technical hazards /project impacts ensuring that these are adequately documented and managed.
• Liaise with PM to report on schedule and risk assessments.
• Ensure Trials Management activities are conducted to support the successful assessment of the capabilities.
• Lead the review of the Detailed Trials Specification to ensure technical information required to support decision making is captured.

• Provide engineering support across three core technical domains:

• Mobility, including running gear, suspension, tracks and vehicle performance.
• Work closely with the prime contractor to ensure and assure the resolution of domain-related issues and concerns.
• Work with the Safety Team to raise and manage emerging issues.
• Provide SME support to the In-Service Team to resolve domain-related issues.
• Support related trials activity and undertake occasional visits to contractor sites.
