About the role
- Build and maintain relationships with key construction professionals (builders, architects, engineers, code officials, and distributors)
- Educate and train end-users and specifiers on engineered wood products
- Promote APA member products through in-person and virtual meetings, seminars and trade shows
- Investigate product performance in the field and provide technical insights
- Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities for growth
- Serve as a subject matter expert for specific product types or market segments
- Travel throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia to manage the territory and support stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, wood sciences, or related field preferred
- Experience in technical sales, marketing, or construction related industries
- Knowledge of energy-efficient construction is a plus
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Willing to travel extensively across the territory, including overnight stays
- Comfortable working on construction sites, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication, with a professional and ethical approach
- Tech-savvy and able to use virtual tools to connect with stakeholders
- Candidates should be located within reasonable proximity to Charlotte, NC to effectively manage the territory
